The radiology department, under the direction of a board-certified radiologist and registered radiologic technologists, uses extremely sensitive and highly sophisticated diagnostic equipment to help your doctor in the evaluation of your condition. All x-ray examinations are made at the request of your attending physician and the results are reported only to him.

Emanuel Medical Center offers a complete service in radiology, computerized tomography, (CT) scanner, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, bone density, sterotactic breast biopsy and mammography.

The department is staffed with fully trained registered technologists. This department is covered, on an emergency basis, 24 hours a day.

the world a sunny place for your children.  Part of that means offering you advanced technology from GE Healthcare should your child need a CT scan.  Our new system, Optima* CT660, delivers enhanced speed, high quality images and more importantly, may lower dose with ASiR*.1  All of the system’s advances help provide your doctor with a more                          confident diagnosis which can lead to better care for those you love.

Call Emanuel Medical Center or visit http://www.emanuelmedical.org  to learn more about this remarkable technology.

1 In clinical practice, the use of ASiR may reduce CT patient dose depending on the clinical task, patient size, anatomical location, and clinical practice.  A consultation with a radiologist and a physicist should be made to determine the appropriate dose to obtain diagnostic image quality for the particular clinical task.
