Emanuel Medical Center (EMC) has been recognized as one of the cleanest hospitals in the United States, earning a 5-Star rating for cleanliness from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that oversees the nation’s healthcare programs and hospital quality reporting.
Only eight hospitals in Georgia achieved this distinction, and EMC is proud to be among them.
“Keeping our hospital clean is about more than just appearance, it’s about keeping people safe and comfortable,” said Lisha Lamb, Director of Environmental Services at EMC. “Our EVS team takes pride in what we do, because it makes a difference for every patient, visitor, and staff member who comes through our doors.”
Hospital cleanliness is a critical factor in preventing hospital-acquired infections, keeping staff and visitors healthy, and ensuring patients receive the best possible care.
“This recognition reflects the dedication of our environmental services team and the entire EMC staff,” said Damien Scott, CEO of Emanuel Medical Center. “We are committed to delivering exceptional care in an environment that is welcoming, clean and safe.”
