EMC Named One of Georgia's Top Small Hospitals by Georgia Trend

Emanuel Medical Center is proud to announce it has once again been recognized by Georgia Trend magazine as one of Georgia’s Top Small Hospitals, continuing its record of excellence in care and performance.

Each year, Georgia Trend evaluates hospitals across the state using data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that oversees Medicare, Medicaid, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program, and publicly reports hospital quality and performance measures. Hospitals are ranked based on key indicators such as clinical outcomes, patient safety, and quality of care, and are grouped by size.

Emanuel Medical Center is classified in the Small Hospital category, which includes hospitals with fewer than 100 patient beds.

“This continued recognition reflects our unwavering commitment to providing high-quality care close to home,” said EMC CEO, Damien Scott. “It is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of our physicians, nurses, clinical teams, and support staff who serve our community.”

In addition to this honor, Emanuel Medical Center recently received five-star ratings from CMS for nurse communication and cleanliness, underscoring the hospital’s focus on patient-centered care and a safe, welcoming environment.

EMC is proud to serve Emanuel County and the surrounding communities, ensuring residents have access to exceptional healthcare without having to travel far from home.
