Emanuel Medical Center Ranked 4-Star Hospital by CMS

Swainsboro, GA – Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently reported its Hospital Comparison website with new data for Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) summary of star ratings for 3,504 hospitals in the United States. Emanuel Medical Center was ranked a 4 Star out of 3504 hospitals.

Emanuel Medical Center strives to provide excellent patient centered care, here are some headlights from our rating that proves what our patients think: Nurse Communication rated a 4 along with Doctor Communication as a 5 rating; Staff responsiveness is also rated a 4; Communication about medicines rated as a 4 along with Overall hospital with a 4 rating and lastly Recommend hospital rated a 4.

CMS' rates hospitals on a one-to-five-star scale based on the 11 publicly reported measures in HCAHPS survey, which assesses patient experiences through Cleanliness, nurse communication, Doctor communication, staff responsiveness, pain management, communication about medicines, discharge information, care transition, overall hospital rating, quietness and recommend hospital. The latest updated data is based on HCAHPS surveys collected between Oct. 1, 2015, and Sept. 30, 2016. Out of 3,504 hospitals eligible for a rating, 215 received a five-star rating; 1,203 received a four-star rating; 1,468 received a three-star rating; 543 received a two-star rating; and 76 received a one-star rating.
