Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

 

Responsible for directing, administering, and coordinating the Env. Services Program to maintain the hospital & nursing home in a safe, sanitary, attractive and orderly condition. . Provides orientation and education to staff members. Develops, organizes and implements programs, policies and procedures necessary to ensure departmental operations in accordance with the facilities mission and philosophy.  Participates and maintains performance improvement activities to assure highest standards of care.

 

Job Requirements

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education - High School Diploma or equivalent with at least two years experience working in Environmental Services in a leadership position. International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA) or Healthcare Facilities Certification (HCFC) certified.

 

PHYSICAL / MENTAL DEMANDS:

 

  • Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions; to move, sit, stand, walk and bend intermittently throughout the work day, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these sources to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
  • Use of mechanical and technical equipment required for the responsibilities assigned.
  • External and internal applicants who become disabled, must be able to perform the essential job functions either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined on a case by case basis.
  • Position has a moderate expected exposure to blood borne pathogens.
