Beginning September 1, 2025, Emanuel Medical Center will implement a new visitor check-in process designed to enhance the safety of patients, families, and staff.
Under the updated policy, all visitors will be required to sign in at the front desk and present a valid photo ID and the name of the person they are visiting.
After checking in, visitors will receive a Visitor Pass, which must be worn at all times while in the hospital. The cafeteria will remain open to the public without a Visitor Pass; however, access to all other hospital areas will require a Visitor Pass.
Visitors arriving between 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. must enter through the Emergency Department, where Visitor Passes will be issued at the ED registration window.
“These changes are part of our ongoing commitment to provide a safe and secure environment for everyone who walks through our doors,” said Mary Radford, Chief Nursing Officer at Emanuel Medical Center. “We appreciate the community’s understanding and cooperation as we implement these measures.”
