Emanuel Medical Center recently recognized Mrs. Erma Jenkins for more than 15 years of service on the Emanuel County Hospital Authority. Mrs. Jenkins was first elected to the authority in 2008 and served faithfully through her retirement from the board on April 25, 2023.

A reception in Mrs. Jenkins’ honor was held in the Emanuel Medical Center dining room, where CEO Damien Scott presented her with a crystal award in appreciation for her guidance, commitment, and leadership during her service on the authority.

“Mrs. Erma is an example of someone who served others unconditionally. She set the example for so many of us who aspire to give of our time and talents to our community,” remarked Scott.
