- Job Description
Primary responsibility is for the pre-hospital emergency medical care of the citizens of Emanuel County. This includes both emergency and non-emergency medical care and transportation. Secondary responsibilities include assisting in the emergency and non-emergency care of patients within the Hospital. The EMT is an employee of Emanuel Medical Center and is expected to follow the policies and procedures of the facility. The EMT answers to the EMS director. In the absence of the EMS Director he/she answers to the Assistant EMS Director. In reference to on-scene patient care situations the EMT answers to the Paramedic in charge

Education
A high school diploma or GED
Completion of an Emergency Medical Technician Course
License
Current Georgia EMT License
Verified: Georgia Office of EMS and Trauma (Georgia EMS License Management System)
CPR card.
Georgia Driver’s License
